what's a girl to do with friends like this?

Today was also, kinda-sorta sofa king boring.
Today I:
1. Ate a bowl of Cap'n Crunch for breakfast.
2. Watched the Red Sox game.
3. Went to Dairy Queen with my Mom & sister.
4. Went to work, and worked.
5. Did laundry.
6. Got stood up by my supposed best friend.
7. Downloaded the song She's a Lady by Forever the Sickest Kids.
8. Read more of To Kill a Mockingbird.

While reading To Kill a Mockingbird, I realized that this book really is one of the best examples of American literature. While reading, I could picture in my head the town of Maycomb, Alabama and it's inhabitants. I am at the beginning of the courthouse scene; Jem, Dill, and Scout have just made their way into the colored seats. It's very good so far, I think I will be done in the next few days.
Also, I downloaded the song "She's a Lady" by Forever the Sickest Kids today. I like it a lot. I like all the harmonies that the band uses, it reminds me of the harmonies that All Time Low uses.
And, I called my best friend Hollie today, and I asked her if she wanted to come over my house and spend the night. She said that she would ask her Mom, and then call me back. This was at about 4:00 PM. It is now 6:48 PM, with nothing. So, I think it's a reasonable conclusion that she's not coming. This whole scenario gave me the inspiration for the title of this post, "What's a girl to do with friends like this?" which comes from the song "Holiday From Real" by Jack's Mannequin, one of my favorite bands. Because, honestly, I don't know what I'm going to do. I think I'm just going to let it go, I don't know.
I also finally did my laundry today! My pile of dirty clothes has been growing rapidly over the past few days, and every morning was a cruel reminder of the fact that I needed to do my laundry, especially when I saw my decreasing pile of underwear. But anyway, I felt very accomplished today when I finally got that done. Doing my laundry isn't a hard chore for me, as a matter of fact, I'd go as far as to say that doing laundry is my favorite chore. It's better than picking up dog poop or cleaning toliets or something like that.
I also went to work today. My job is not very fantastic, I vacuum (sp?) and empty trash cans at my Dad's office. My Mom works with me, she cleans the bathroom & kitchen. My sister, Molly, absolutely had to tag along so she dusts the stairs and helps my Mom. We eat all the good candy out of the bowl that the receptionist leaves out.
The best part of today, probably, was getting to go to Dairy Queen. Especially in April! Getting to go to Dairy Queen doesn't happen very often, even in Summer. What happened was, my Mom very nicely made a pan of brownies earlier today. When my sister (Molly again), asked for one, my Mom told her that she could have one after she ate lunch. Later on, she ate lunch and instead of asking my Mom, asked my Dad if she could have one. My Dad, not knowing what my Mom had told her earlier, told her that she could wait until after dinner. Molly, obviously, was crushed. My Mom felt bad about this but she couldn't say anything because that'd be undermining my Dad's authority, and that sort of thing. So, when we left to go clean, my Mom told me that she had a plan. I had no idea what this plan was going to be until she took a right turn to go to Dairy Queen instead of going straight, like she normally does, to go to my Dad's office. Molly asked her, "Mom, why are we turning right? Don't we go straight?" My Mom told her, with a smile on her face, "Yeah, we go straight when we're not going to Dairy Queen." Molly then proceeded to do a happy dance, which was quite comical because she was buckled in a carseat. The three of us all got Blizzards. My Mom ordered a Heath Bar Blizzard (which she gets everytime, yawn), while Molly&I both decided to order the Blizzard of the Month, the Chocolate Truffle Blizzard. In the poster that was above the menu, the Chocolate Truffle Blizzard was depicted as being very chocolately, with what appeared to be chocolate soft serve ice cream with bits of brownie mixed in. We both thought this looked very good and decided to order the Chocolate Truffle Blizzard. The woman who was working there at the time took our order, and a few minutes later she reappeared at the window with two cups, that she said were Chocolate Truffle Blizzards. They did not look anything like the poster! However, upon taking bites of our Blizzards, Molly&I decided that it did not matter that they did not look like the poster, they still tasted very good. So, that was our Dairy Queen adventure.
I also watched the Red Sox game against the Baltimore Orioles today. I even wore my Dustin Pedroia (favorite player!) jersey for the occasion, by accident. The Red Sox played very well, they won, 12-1. Dustin was 4-6 with three RBI's. He had this one hit where the ball was way outside over the right side of the plate, which most players would not be able to hit. However, Dustin Pedroia is not most players. He, completely off-balance, managed to hit the ball, not only into fair territory, but it actually was a hit. The announcers thought this was very funny. Also, I think that the Baltimore Orioles need to improve their defense. They had a lot of silly errors that you knew, watching, that the players knew how to make the plays, they just didn't call the ball or whatever. Tommorow, the Red Sox play the Minnesota Twins at Fenway Park at 7:10 PM.
And, I ate Cap'n Crunch for breakfast. :)
But anyway, that's all that's really going on in my life right now.
So, I should probably go be social now, or maybe...not.
